Vacation Payments

When planning vacations for my guests, I’m often asked if I can accommodate payments on the vacation?  My answers is always, yes!  Whether you’re booking a cruise or a land vacation, there will be a booking deposit that must be paid in order to book that trip.  That’s the only cost of your vacation that must be paid all at one time.  The final date is also inflexible.  The full amount must be paid by the final payment date.  So, if you’re planning to make payments on your vacations, here’s a few things you need keep in mind:  more…

Do I Need A Passport? Oct 30

U.S. Passport Rules! 

This is one of the most frequent questions I’m asked.  And, it’s funny, because if someone asks me that questions, they usually ask me it three or more times.  Before they book, they ask me, “Do I need  a passport for this cruise?”  After their cruise is booked, they ask the same question again.  Then they go to work or church or anywhere and share their excitement about the cruise they’ve just booked.  A friend then reminds them that they now need a passport for cruises, which sends them back to me one more time with that same question.  more…

Our Recent Caribbean Favorites

After so many cruises and so many ports, many of the excursions kind of blur together … island tours, snorkeling adventures, beach fun.  We’ve enjoyed all of them but one.  Don’t get me started on that one … suffice it to say, never take a motorcoach tour of Grand Cayman.  (It was our first cruise ever – we didn’t know any better then!)  But, in our recent cruises, we’ve experienced three of our all time favorite excursions:  more…

Cruise Diverted by a Hurricane? Oct 10

Hurricane Paul 2006 Got Us!

IMG_0877Have you ever been on a cruise that was rerouted due to a hurricane or tropical storm?  We’ve sailed with our traveling friends during hurricane season for years, without any problem until this cruise in 2006.  If you’ve cruised for long, you’ll remember how devastating the 2005 hurricane season was in the Caribbean.  Our group decided it might be safer to book our next annual cruise in 2006 to the Mexican Riviera in the Pacific.   That’s how we ended up aboard the Carnival Pride, sailing 7-nights roundtrip from Long Beach with an original itinerary to Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan and Puerta Vallarta, but rerouted, due to the really brief Hurricane Paul, to Ensenada, San Diego, and Catalina Islandmore…
